Last week in maths, the children were learning to count in twos.
We used practical equipment, number lines and even found the missing numbers in sequences.
This week, we are learning how to divide by 2. The children have been sharing counters equally between two groups and later in the week we will be writing matching number sentences!
Well done mathematicians!
Well done to all of the children attending school this week!

Parents and carers, please check emails for updates following tonight’s announcement.
We managed to raise £157 for Children In Need.
Thank you for you generosity.
Year 6 have enjoyed creating art work in the style of Andy Goldsworthy. The children were very creative and managed to make some beautiful masterpieces using natural materials collected in the school grounds!
We had to work as a team to hoist our teammates to safety. Well done to the team who showed creativity, teamwork and perseverance to complete the mission.
Year 6 took part in a virtual cyber choices workshop organised by Northumbria Police to find out more about online safety and career opportunities linked with computing.
The session was very interesting and gave us lots information about potential careers.
Year 5 and 6 pupils have enjoyed taking part in a virtual event about occupations hosted by Primary Futures. The children met an Architect, an Aircraft Accident Investigator and an IT Global Program Manager. They had fun asking questions and using clues to guess the job of each person. The session was very informative and broadened children’s horizons around the world of work. All of the pupils have been inspired to think about what career they might enjoy when they are older!
