Forest View Primary has retained its “Good” Ofsted outcome on a newly published school report (please see link below). The school was inspected by Ofsted on 23rd & 24th April 2024.
The inspector commented – “There is a strong sense of belonging among pupils and staff. Pupils are clear on the need to be inclusive of everyone. Pupils are safe. They enjoy coming to school. Pupils are well cared for by staff.”
The inspection highlighted that:
- Academically, pupils do well across the school
- There has been an increase in the number of pupils achieving higher standards in Year 6, particularly in mathematics
- Pupils are well behaved
- Pupils understand the importance of being kind to each other
- The school’s curriculum prepares pupils well for secondary education
- Teachers support all pupils well across the curriculum
- Reading is very well taught and pupils are enthusiastic readers. Pupils benefit from studying high quality texts across the school
- The curriculum supports older pupils to secure a deepening knowledge of subjects
- Pupils with SEND achieve well
- The school puts great emphasis on the personal development of pupils
- Leaders are right to continue to prioritise attendance.
