Our whole school attendance so far this week is 94.75%! With your help and support lets see if we can hit our 96% attendance target!
It would be amazing to have ALL the children attend school tomorrow. Not forgetting it is Non-uniform day for Red Nose Day and children can wear something red if they wish!
Year 3 and Year 5/6 are currently joint first, closely followed by Year 4 and Year 2!

The winning class will be presented with the ‘Attendance Cup’ tomorrow!

Kind regards
Mrs White

Each week if your child attends school every day their name will appear on their class spinning wheel.
Every Friday, 2 winners will be randomly chosen and they can pick a prize from their class attendance bowl.
3 winners will be chosen if any class gets above 96% attendance!
Good luck everyone!
Thank you for your support
Kind regards
Mrs White

We will be having a non – uniform day. Children can dress up in something red or wear red nose day clothing if they wish. Children will be doing activities in class during the day.
Please support Red Nose Day by sending in £1 on the day.

BBC NEWS – South Shields school wins Rainbow Flag Award for LGBT+ inclusivity
A primary school in South Shields has been awarded for its positive work on inclusion and visibility of LGBT+ people.
Forest View Primary teaches the children “everyone is welcome” in the school and “it’s OK to be who you want to be”, to learn and encourage acceptance between pupils.
Incorporating some LGBT+ historical figures and books into their curriculum to make it more diverse and to reflect today’s changing society, their work has seen them achieve a Rainbow Flag Award.
Vikki Thompson, SENCO class teacher, said educating the children from a young age gives them the “best chance” before they “go out into the big wide world”.
