Children from Nursery to Year 6 enjoyed a visit from Toby Glover this term. He read some of his books, answered questions about being an author and how to become one. He talked about the process of writing a book and how he works with his illustrator before sending his work to Amazon to be printed. Toby was really good at developing the children’s understanding of the vocabulary in his books and he even used voting to select the texts to be read to the classes. We are always using our British Values at Forest View!

We are looking for volunteers to come into school and be part of a careers assembly. You could talk to the children about what you do for work; what qualifications or training they need to do to get there; bring in some of the products you work with or show off some exciting equipment!
Our aim is to inspire our children to think about a brighter future for themselves and to give them a goal to aim for within their education.
