That History Bloke has kindly created two videos that detail how to create Roman and Egyptian board games both at home and at school.

Here is his message:
“We have been wondering how we can help…
The idea is that you could make these games and toys with your children at school, but also that families at home can make them with ordinary ‘stuff’ lying around the house. It would be great if you could share the videos with colleagues and parents from your school or even set them as ‘homework’.
Hopefully the videos will be fun and entertaining as well as instructional. The two we have recorded so far have been based on a Roman game and a game played in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Hopefully, we will be soon adding future videos – probably weekly – on simple activities, toys and games from the Viking, Victorian, Greek and Tudor periods, among others…
