Good afternoon everyone,
Here are some materials that you may find useful to support your child’s understanding of e-Safety and their remote learning.
Dear Parents and Carers,
It has come to our attention that there are currently some video clips circulating the internet and specific sites such as ‘Tik Tok’ that are unsuitable for children and young people to view. If any pupils have seen anything that has upset them, they can speak to their teachers in school, our designated Safeguarding Team – Mrs Cook and Mrs Williams or our Computing Coordinator – Miss Charlton.
It has also come to our attention that some children and young people are accessing age inappropriate games and apps. We advise parents and carers to take note of the PEGI rating shown on games and apps. The PEGI rating gives an indication of age related content. Sometimes a game or app can look fun, but with a PEGI rating of 18+, it should not be accessed by any child or young person below this age.
Finally, the release of the PlayStation 5 has also raised some safety issues. Please refer to guidance provided by National Online Safety if you have any concerns: https://nationalsafety.com/
Alternatively, you can speak to a member of staff in school.
