School avoidance is a sharply increasing phenomenon, with tangible negative effects on children’s wellbeing and education. The factors that come together to make a child consciously avoid seeing their classmates and teachers can be much more complicated than is often assumed. A careful, mindful approach from parents, carers and educators is required to help children return to an environment that may be causing them intense anxiety.

Spring Term Newsletter
On Friday 15th March 2024 pupils will be raising money for Red Nose Day.
We will be having a non – uniform day. Children can dress up in something red or wear red nose day clothing/accessories if they wish. Children will be doing activities in class during the day.
Please support Red Nose Day by sending in £1 donation on the day.
Please note – Year 6 are going on a school trip to Nissan and will need to wear their full school uniform. Thank you for your support.
World Book Day: To celebrate our love of reading, we are going to have a ‘Bedtime Story’ theme. The children can come to school in their pyjamas on Friday 8th March and bring their favourite book to share with their friends. Please ensure your child still has sensible shoes and a coat for playtime. Thank you
