Reading Ambassadors 2025 – 2026
Reading Ambassadors are chosen for their love of reading, their willingness to share this passion with others and enthusiasm to promote reading throughout the school.
Reading Ambassador roles and responsibilities:
- Promote a love of reading across the school.
- Recommend books to others and talk about their favourite authors.
- Create our ‘Author of the Month’ display in the library and share their recommended reads by this author in assembly.
- Demonstrate exemplary reading behaviours and be an excellent role model for others.
- Support pupils with reading in the library at lunchtimes.
- Promote our reading for pleasure agenda by providing reading materials on the year at playtime on both the KS1 and KS2 yard.
- Keep the library and book areas tidy.
- Be the voice for pupils across the school.
- Read with KS1 children.
