South Tyneside Council want to make sure that young people are able to live as independently as possible. This includes being able to travel safely to and from their school/setting as well as visiting and meeting their friends by themselves, using different ways of getting there including walking, cycling or going on a bus.
Most young people will be able to travel independently, but some might need a extra support to help them do this. This is known as Independent Travel Training.
