DT lessons have been in full flow this term and pupils across the school have researched, designed, made and evaluated projects. Years 5 and 6 are sewing bees and have made monster cushions in their textiles topic. Years 3 and 4 have made torches using a circuit, housing and reflector in their electrical systems topic. Years 1 and 2 are busy making healthy tasty treats in their balanced diet project for food and nutrition. Reception and Nursery are honing their structure building techniques by junk modelling.

The whole school are looking forward to Enterprise Week and can’t wait to design, create and sell at our annual Forest View Christmas fayre. We wonder how much profit each class will make?

DT during Spring at Forest View has further developed our pupils design, make and evaluate skills. We have made castles in structures, puppets in textiles and pop-up books in mechanisms.

Our DT year ended with building baby bears chair in structures, making a pneumatic toy in mechanisms and navigating the World in digital worlds.
