Nursery Admissions

Children are admitted to Nursery in the Autumn Term after their 3rd birthday. We also admit children at the start of the Spring and Summer Term after their 3rd birthday. All depending on spaces available.  Our Nursery is Mornings only 8.45am – 11.45am.

Parents can complete an application form for admission to our nursery once their child has turned 2 years old. Forms are available from the school office or you can download one below and return via the school email. Alternatively you can provide this information over the phone.

Reception Class Admissions

Children are admitted to mainstream school (i.e. the Reception Class) once a year in the Autumn Term after their 4th birthday.

Parents will receive a letter from South Tyneside Council, via the nursery the child attends, approximately a year before the child is due to start asking parents to apply online by a date set in January.

Places will be allocated in the summer term, and parents will be notified in due course about the availability or otherwise of a place in the Reception Class. Parents who are unsuccessful in gaining admission for their child to the school of their choice have the right to appeal to the Local Education Authority. Introductory Visit

Children and their parents usual make an introductory visit at the end of the summer term before their admission which is arranged by the school.
