Year 4 have been having fun over the past two weeks making lots of crafts! We have made Christmas cards in the shape of snowmen, reindeer, robins and penguins. We have also made calendars for the new year, showing the four seasons from tissue paper. And finally, we made Christmas decorations from newspaper, moulded into a variety of shapes and painted.
This half term, Year 4 have been taking part in the unusual sport of fencing. They have learned: what the equipment is – the foil and the helmets; how to salute and show respect; how to lunge; how to parry; how to riposte; how to attack and defend; and how to referee. They finished off the set of lessons with a small competition, which they refereed themselves. The whole class agreed that they loved it!
